This will be the fourth year running that sports performance brand ASICS takes the spot of Official Sports Brand and Training Partner, and it will be living up to its title by offering support to runners on the day of the Ealing Half Marathon as well as great offers on all race day kit needs. ASICS tech reps will be providing help with all running queries and product-related questions, and free gait analysis will be available to help runners find their perfect shoe.
Joining ASICS in the race village will be running specialist and Official Sports Retailer Up & Running, who will be offering 20% off all ASICS footwear on site within the ASICS trailer. The store is also running a 20% discount shopping weekend for Ealing Half runners the weekend prior to the race at its East Sheen, Kingston and Basingstoke stores.
Together, ASICS and Up & Running will ensure that runners have everything they need at the Ealing Half Marathon as well as access to the best training and product advice.
There are less than two weeks until the sixth Ealing Half Marathon gets under way and general entries are now closed. Anyone still wishing to take part in this popular West London event and experience the famous #EalingFeeling can purchase one of the last remaining charity places through Lead Charities Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Research UK.
The race is a key fixture in the autumn running calendar and is much loved for its attractive setting, friendly atmosphere and outstanding community support. Such is the respect for the event that the Ealing Half Marathon won the Silver award in the Best Half Marathon category (≥ 5,000) at The 2017 Running Awards, and was voted the UK’s best half marathon at the same ceremony in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Sandra Courtney, Race Director, commented, “We are delighted to welcome ASICS and Up & Running back to the 2017 Ealing Half Marathon. The presence on race day of such well-trusted names will be of great support to competitors and we hope that many runners will drop by their stands for tips, advice and product information, as well as plenty of motivation! We look forward to seeing many runners hit their targets at the Ealing Half Marathon and would like to thank ASICS and Up & Running for their continued support as valued partners of the race.”
The UKA-measured single lap course of the Ealing Half Marathon covers a route around West London, taking in parts of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens before returning to Lammas Park.
Other sponsors and supporters of the Ealing Half Marathon include Fuller’s, Mercedes-Benz Brentford, Portdevon, The New Inn, Move Clinics, Xempo, élan Natural Mineral Water and JustGiving.
