The Clumber Park Duathlon takes place on Saturday 17th March 2018 and entries are open.
Taking place in the stunning setting of one Nottinghamshire’s finest National Parks, the Clumber Park Duathlon is the perfect early season event for athletes of all abilities. In previous years, this picturesque run bike run event has attracted first-timers alongside Great Britain age-groupers.
The Clumber Park Duathlon has the honour of being the Triathlon England National Championships for 2018. It has also once again been selected to offer GB age-group qualification places in both the sprint and standard distance events at the 2018 and 2019 ITU World Championships and the 2019 ETU European Championships.
The event is split into two distances: a sprint and a standard distance race, both taking athletes through acres of beautiful woodland. The run sections take place on fully-closed tarmac roads and feature steady climbs at the beginning followed by a downhill run to the first transition.
The bike course is through some of the most beautiful tree-lined routes in the UK, including some closed roads, and comprises a number of climbs and descents to test the riders’ strength.
The Clumber Park Duathlon is a competitive and highly professional event at a magnificent venue, and athletes are encouraged to secure their place now.
Those wanting to qualify for the GB Age-Group team need a BTF licence and to have registered their interest in being part of the national team.
