Osterley Park Summer 10K Selling Out Fast

Osterley Park Summer 10K

Organisers of the Osterley Park 10K have announced that the summer 2017 race has almost sold out. The Osterley Park Summer 10K is always a popular fixture on the West London running calendar, but places have been snapped up in record time for this year’s staging on Saturday 17th June.

Osterley Park Summer 10KMuch of the appeal of the race lies in its stunning location in the grounds of the beautiful National Trust Osterley Park and House. One of the largest open spaces in West London, Osterley Park provides a magnificent setting for the summer race, the fast and flat route taking in much of the picturesque scenery and including a loop of the private gardens.

The race distance is also highly popular, 10K representing a decent yet feasible challenge and a perfect stepping stone between a 5K and a half marathon. Many of those who enter the Osterley Park 10K go on to run the Ealing Half Marathon which is organised by the same company, Ealing Half Marathon CIC.

The Ealing Half Marathon is a fantastic option for those who are looking for that longer distance. The race is accepting entries for the 2017 race on 24th September and, with places expected to sell out by the end of July, runners are encouraged to sign up soon to avoid disappointment.

Race Director Sandra Courtney commented,It’s fantastic to see so many people wanting to keep fit and support this brilliant event at a much-loved venue. Our thanks go to The National Trust for allowing us to host this popular run in the beautiful country estate of Osterley Park and House. We would urge anyone who doesn’t get in to get their name down for the Ealing Half Marathon in September, which promises to be another day of outstanding sporting achievement and superb atmosphere. For those who do secure a place in the Osterley Park Summer 10K, it is a fantastic training race for the autumn Ealing Half.

Participants at the Osterley Park Summer 10K will complete a two and a half lap course encompassing one lap of the formal gardens. The UKA measured race starts at 10.30am and takes place in partnership with The National Trust.

The official recommended charity for the race is Alice’s Youth Music Memorial Fund.

A few places still remain for the Osterley Park Summer 10K. Go to www.osterleypark10k.co.uk for full race information.
