The Osterley Park Winter 10K takes place on Saturday 9th December 2017 and entries are open.
The sister race to the highly successful Osterley Park Summer 10K, the Osterley Park Winter 10K takes place in the grounds of the beautiful National Trust Osterley Park and House. One of the largest open spaces in West London, it provides a magnificent setting for the winter race, the route taking in much of the stunning scenery and including a loop of the private gardens.
The route takes participants down the tree-lined drive and past the grazing Charolais cattle before running through the surrounding private gardens, park and farmland of one of the last surviving country estates in London. Not only is it a stunning race, it is perfect motivation to get fit in the run up to Christmas before the festivities begin!
Suitable for all abilities, it is equally perfect for those looking for a memorable first 10K as it is for those seeking a 10K PB.
Runners wishing to enter can sign up here.
The official recommended charity for the Osterley Park Winter 10K is Alice’s Youth Music Memorial Fund.
Osterley Park Winter 10K is managed by Ealing Half Marathon CIC, organisers of the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon which is celebrating its sixth year on Sunday 24th September 2017. Entries are still open for the Ealing Half Marathon and are expected to sell out shortly.
Once described by Horace Walpole as ‘the palace of palaces’, Osterley was created in the late 18th century by architect and designer Robert Adam for the Child family to entertain and impress their friends and clients. The organisers say that this is “a short hop from central London by tube, but a world apart” and that “the course will take on the challenges of the weather, creating a challenging yet interesting mix of trail, road and park.”
