The Oulton Park Autumn Duathlon 2017 takes place on Sunday 8th October at the famous motor racing circuit in Cheshire, featuring both a sprint and a standard distance race aimed at athletes of all levels.
This well-known duathlon offers many unique features including the mass start on the starting grid, transition in the pits and a traffic-free race track. The banked hairpin and the track’s super smooth tarmac guarantee a fast and unique racing experience for all competitors, along with excellent spectating opportunities.
The sprint distance race is a 2018 ETU European Sprint Distance Duathlon Qualifier, and anyone looking to qualify needs to register with the BTF.
The sprint and the standard distance races will be NON-DRAFTING races.
The standard distance race incorporates an 8.6 km run (2 laps) followed by an exhilarating 38.8 km cycle (9 laps) and a final run lap of 4.3 km, totalling 51.7 km.
Sprint distance competitors start with a 4.3 km run (1 lap), followed by a 21.6 km cycle (5 laps) and a final run lap of 4.3 km, covering a total distance of 30.2 km.
Lap counting technology is in place to ensure that all competitors complete the correct number of laps.

Entry costs are £45 for individual entries or £55 for team relay entries, and the start times are 9.30am for the sprint race and 1pm for the standard race.
