“March’s update comes straight from Sardinia. I spent two weeks in the UK after Cape Town before hitting the road south to the sun again. Enjoy all my latest from a busy March!” Lewis Crathern
‘Chapter ME’: Kiteboarding with Lewis Crathern
Long overdue, a film that encapsulates my view of what Kitesurfing is. ‘Chapter ME’ is out to watch here on YouTube. Creating a video is all about having a good relationship with the person behind the lens. When Ben Beholz approached me for this project halfway into the Cape Town season, I just knew we would work brilliantly together. I hope you enjoy my story 🙂
Shooting in Worthing
On my brief return back to Worthing after Cape Town, I was involved in two productions with October Films & ITN Productions. TV programmes ‘Outrageous Acts of Science‘ and ‘Holiday Horrors: Caught on Camera‘ will air soon. Featuring Worthing & Brighton Pier Jump as well as my crash a while back, the programmes also include a section on where I live. It’s an absolute pleasure for us to drive up on the seafront and base ourselves there for filming, and I’d like to thank Adur & Worthing council and the Beach Office for making this possible.
Guild Care Networking Breakfast
As you probably know I love to speak at any occasion I can, so I dropped by Guild Care Networking Breakfast as guest speaker.
It was a very engaging morning with people from all different backgrounds but with a lot in common. Kitesurfing is of course my theme. By talking about my experiences and what I get up to, I am able to break down the common misconceptions of extreme sports and the people that partake in them. Very enjoyable morning; see you again!

Kiting in Worthing
Kiting is the epicentre of my life. My passion, work and freedom. Managing this fine balance can be tricky, but it looks like I got it right in this photo. Thanks Eunice for capturing this shot during an epic session with just my friends Lance and Pip in Worthing.

Creating more video content was one of my biggest goals for 2017 and it’s certainly working out. Click above for my latest monthly video showing how I use the BbTalkin headsets for my coaching. Jeff and I had an epic session in Cape Town.
Kiteworld magazine issue #86 is out now and as well as having a behind the scenes on the KOTA, there’s also an interview with me about the biggest session of the year that came just after the event. It’s their biggest gear test report issue of the year and also comes with the free 164-page Travel Guide.
One week left out here in Sardinia – bye for now!
