The central London event will be run and hosted by the popular endurance runner Susie Chan and inspirational US blogger and runner Kelly Roberts. Taking place on Friday 21st April, and supported by partners The Running Works and Breathe Unity PR, the evening is aimed at female and male runners of all abilities and is expected to be a hugely popular preface to marathon weekend.
Attendees can look forward to a pre-marathon shake-out run led by Susie and Kelly along Tower Bridge, followed by a fun evening back at The Running Works for a panel discussion featuring an inspirational line-up of runners. Free of charge and with food and a glass of bubbly included, the event was expected to fill fast and all tickets were sold out within a few hours of ticket sales opening.
The early evening run is set to start at 6.30pm and runners of all abilities are welcome. There will be paced groups led by volunteers who know the route, and the 2-3 mile route will take in local London streets and pass the iconic Tower Bridge.
The groups will then return to The Running Works, near Aldgate, for the panel discussion and for the fantastic chance to socialise and to meet Susie and Kelly whilst soaking up the pre-race atmosphere. It is set to be THE event to attend as the city gets set for one of the biggest weekends of the year.
Registration for Women Run Strong with Susie and Kelly should be made at Eventbrite.
Please note tickets are now SOLD OUT.
