2018 Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge launched

OSB Events, the organisers of the Lincoln Half Marathon, have announced that the 2018 Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge has been launched and entries are now open for the event on Sunday 30th September 2018.
This will be the second year that the Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge takes place and it is expected to attract plenty of businesses from across the city wanting to compete against each other and be crowned the fastest business in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge is an excellent opportunity for businesses to have fun team building, fundraising for a great cause and getting fit. With just over five months until race day, now is the perfect time to sign up as a team and get training towards a common goal. There are plenty of half marathon training plans for runners of all abilities, and the arrival of longer days and warmer weather makes this the ideal time of year to put a fitness plan in place.
To be in with a chance of becoming the 2018 Lincoln Corporate Challenge Champions and taking the coveted title from the 2017 winner, Revolution Bars, businesses need to enter a team of at least five runners. There is no limit to total team numbers, making this a fantastic opportunity to involve as many employees as possible and promote fitness in the workplace.
The scores are then calculated by adding the total chip time of the fastest male and female from each team, giving all teams a fair chance to win no matter their size.
The winning team will receive a trophy with their company name on it, guaranteed entry to the 2019 event and the honour of being named the fastest company in Lincoln.
The Corporate Challenge participants will run the Lincoln Half Marathon course, a beautiful closed-road route that offers a full tour of the historic city of Lincoln. As in previous years, runners can look forward to superb spectator support, a lively atmosphere and plenty of entertainment to keep them motivated over the 13.1-mile race.

The event is a chance for a little friendly rivalry among local businesses whilst getting fit, training and working together. There are enormous benefits to embarking on a sporting challenge together, including boosted morale, better focus and reduced stress, so we hope that many businesses will take up the challenge and get as many employees involved as possible. We look forward to welcoming businesses from across Lincoln to this entertaining and competitive race in the autumn, and to awarding the 2018 trophy to the fastest business!”
Entries are now open and a total of 1,000 places are available for the 2018 Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge on Sunday 30th September.
All entrants to the Lincoln Half Marathon Corporate Challenge must be a minimum of 17 years and each team must have a minimum of five runners. Each team should have a team captain who will organise entries, team details and payment, and all members must run under the same company name. The cost to enter the Corporate Challenge is £155 for a team of five, with each additional team member costing £30.
Teams of 5 participants can enter here. The team captain should register the team and pay the full £155; they will be asked to create a password for the team, which the other team members will need to register themselves onto the same team.
