Shrewsbury Half Marathon offers a wonderful combination of history and scenery, the 13.1-mile course taking runners through Shrewsbury’s Medieval city centre and out into the stunning Shropshire countryside. It is a popular event with huge community support and benefits from a first-class race village at the Shropshire County Showground, where the race starts and finishes.
Race Director Joe Williams commented, “We are delighted to announce the very first Shrewsbury Half Marathon Corporate Challenge, which will bring together businesses from all across the region wanting to keep fit and enjoy a fantastic day of running. Signing up as a team, no matter each individual’s ability, is a perfect way to keep motivated, get in those training runs and celebrate the joint achievement of crossing the finish line on race day. The atmosphere will be incredible and there will plenty of cheering from the sidelines for all participants! We hope that many local businesses will come on board and promote fitness in the workplace. We would like to thank Shrewsbury Business Park for their support and we look forward to awarding the Corporate Challenge trophy to the fastest team in June!”
