    The organisers of Shrewsbury Half Marathon, UK Run Events, have announced that Rybrook Shrewsbury BMW will be supporting the event on Sunday 17th June 2018.

    BMW Rybrook ShrewsburyRybrook Shrewsbury BMW will be providing the lead car for the race, which will be leading the half marathon runners through Shrewsbury’s city centre, out into the beautiful Shropshire countryside and back to Shropshire County Showground on the closed-road 13.1-mile course.

    A team from the dealership on Battlefield Road will also be present in the race village at Shropshire County Showground on Saturday 16th June for the Shropshire Primary Schools Challenge, as well as on Sunday 17th for Shrewsbury Half Marathon race day to chat to runners and their families about the numerous environmental, health and financial benefits of electric cars.

    They will be displaying the new BMW i3, the new model with the objective to be the class-leading electric vehicle, and the award-winning BMW i8, a plug-in hybrid sports car with the latest eDrive technology and intelligent energy management.

    Staff members from Rybrook Shrewsbury BMW will also be on the start line of the Shrewsbury Half Marathon.

    There are less than 160 places left to #RunShrewsbury in just over a week’s time and anyone wishing to enter this professional and friendly race should sign up now. Offering a perfect combination of history and scenery, Shrewsbury Half Marathon is one of the UK’s most picturesque half marathons. A team of UKRunChat race pacers will be there on the day to help runners hit their target times and there will be a first-class race village at Shropshire Country Showground offering a superb selection of food, drink and entertainment.

    Race Director Joe Williams commented, “We are thrilled to confirm that Rybrook Shrewsbury BMW will be supporting Shrewsbury Half Marathon by providing the lead car for the race, and we are looking forward to seeing their fleet of electric cars on display in the race village.     Last places are now available for Shrewsbury Half Marathon on Sunday 17th June 2018. Entry costs £28 / £30, plus a booking fee. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, technical t-shirt, goody bag, free pre and post-race massage, and free races photos worth £19.99.
