Cycling the Back Roads of China

This exciting new cycling trip explores the very best of rural South-West China. Taking in some of the most famous images of China, including the giant pandas of Sichuan and the Karst scenery of Yangshuo, you will also embark on a ride through some of the best kept secrets of the region. Starting in Chengdu you will journey to Guiyang where you will begin cycling. The route takes you through breath-taking scenery, terraced rice fields and to ancient villages, alongside rivers and streams lined with bamboo. The trip will end in Yangshou among the towering, limestone mountains that appear to have bubbled out of the ground and set in dramatic shapes and sizes as far as the eye can see.

Ski Afghanistan – Bamian

Afghanistan is paradise for those who love mountains and mountain people. After five successful seasons in Afghanistan, the only company to offer ski tours in the country is returning the Bamian region in 2015. This trip will be led by an internationally certified mountain guide assisted by local Afghan ski guides. Guests do not need any prior experience of ski touring and we have slopes suitable for all standards of skiers. It is a chance to experience the incredible natural beauty of Afghanistan combined with skiing in one of the least visited regions in the world. There will also be time to visit the remains of the world’s largest standing Buddha statues that overlook the town and the ancient cities of Shah e Zohak and Shah e Golghola.

Dolp Trek

Trek Nepal will be showcasing an incredibly special trek in the Dolpo region. Throughout this trek the Himalayan range can be seen in its entire splendour. Phoksondo Lake, the deepest lake in Nepal, and the Ringmo village, provide some of the most exceptional scenery in little known Western Nepal. The trail follows the ancient Tibetan salt caravan route, across two high passes and through the wilderness in one of Nepal’s most remote and least developed areas. In the Dolpo region the monsoon, created by the sea winds blowing from the Gulf of Bengal, is tempered by the Dhaulagiri range, and trekking is therefore also possible during the summer, a period during which the flora explodes in all its glory: orchids, edelweiss, campanulas and forget-me-nots. Witnessing wild and pristine landscapes, ancient villages and impressive waterfalls are only a few things that will turn this trek into an unforgettable experience.
