48 hours to snap up Early Bird Entry: Llanelli Half & Great Welsh Marathon

Front Runner Events, the organisers of the Llanelli Half Marathon and Great Welsh Marathon, which incorporates the Great Welsh Half Marathon, have issued a last call for anyone wanting to secure an entry with the early bird discount.

Early bird entries for the Llanelli Half Marathon and the Great Welsh Half Marathon cost £28 (affiliated) or £30 (non-affiliated).

Early bird entries for South Wales’ only marathon, the Great Welsh Marathon, are priced at £38 (affiliated) or £40 (non-affiliated).

The early bird discount for all races finishes at midnight this Thursday 31^st August.

The Llanelli Half Marathon takes place on 18^th February 2018, starting and finishing at the home of the legendary Scarlets rugby team, Parc y Scarlets. It takes runners on fully closed roads towards the National Wetlands Centre before joining the magnificent Millennium Coast Path, which overlooks Llanelli beach and offers breath-taking views of the Loughor Estuary and the Gower Peninsula. The 13.1-mile route then continues to Festival Fields before turning and heading back along the path to Parc y Scarlets.

For the popular Great Welsh Marathon on 15^th April 2018 a total of just 500 places are available. Both the marathon and the half marathon start and finish at Festival Fields in Llanelli and take runners along the Millennium Coastal Path all the way to Burry Port and back. Taking place just one week before the Virgin Money London Marathon, the Great Welsh Marathon is a fantastic option for anyone unsuccessful in the ballot and wanting to experience a unique spring marathon.
