Entries open for Youth Race at OPAP Limassol Marathon

    The organisers of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO 2020 have announced the opening of entries for Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation Youth Race, taking place at 11.30am on Saturday 21st March 2020.

    Andrey and Julia Dashin’s Foundation Youth Race is open to children aged 6-13 years and there will be two waves of runners based on age categories: 6-9 years old (500 metres) and 10-13 years old (1km).

    The race aims to promote running and fitness to young runners and is a perfect opportunity for children accompanying their parents and adults to get involved in this weekend celebration of running.

    The course starts and finishes at the Western End of Molos Park, on Limassol’s stunning seafront, with beautiful views out to sea and a perfect spot for families to enjoy a day out.

    OPAP Limassol Marathon GSOThe Youth Race is one of a number of races taking place over the course of the weekend. Saturday 21st March will also see the PrimeTel Corporate 5K Race take place, while the main competitive races take place on Sunday 22nd March: OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO, MUSKITA Half Marathon Race, Petrolina 10K Energy Race and Medochemie 5K City Race.

    OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO is one of Europe’s most recognisable sporting events, welcoming 15,000 athletes each year to the flat and fast course along Limassol’s spectacular coastline.
