Entry open for The Midlands Sprint Series 2018

    The organisers of The Midlands Sprint Series 2018, OSB Events, have confirmed that entry is still open to this popular sprint series consisting of three pool triathlons.

    Participants need to complete all three events in order to qualify to win in their age category, and with the first event in less than three months now is the perfect time to sign up and get training!

    Woodhall Spa Triathlon Midlands Sprint SeriesThe three events forming The Midlands Sprint Series are: Southwell Triathlon (15th April), Lincoln Triathlon (29th April) and Woodhall Spa Triathlon (17th June).

    This means that the classic Midlands Sprint Triathlon Series will be back to its original format of three pool sprint triathlons in 2018, the Lincoln Triathlon having been brought back in place of the open water Nottingham Triathlon.

    Series Events

    Race 1 – Southwell Triathlon, 15 April 2018

    Taking place at Southwell Rugby Club and with the backdrop of Southwell Minster, the setting for this event is superb. The event consists of a 400m swim in Southall Leisure Centre’s 25-metre pool, followed by a 17.6km cycle and finishing with a two-lap 5km run.

    Race 2 – Lincoln Triathlon, 29 April 2018

    Starting and finishing at the David Lloyd Lincoln Health Club, this is a great venue for competitors and spectators alike. The event consists of a 400m pool swim, a brand new 24km bike route and a 5km run along the towpath of the Fossdyke Canal.

    Race 3 – Woodhall Spa Triathlon, 17 June 2018

    Racing from Jubilee Park, this event consists of a 400m swim in the well-maintained 33m heated outdoor pool, followed by a 24km cycle on quiet country roads and finishing with a nice flat 5km run.

    Competitors entering all three events receive a discount on entry fees, and once they complete each event they are awarded with a unique medal that joins together with the others to create an impressive memento of the Series!

    Athletes are able to enter each event individually, but would not be eligible for a series prize.

    Midland Sprint Series OSB EventsEarly bird entries for the Midlands Sprint Series are available until 1st February at £123 (plus admin and BTF fees).
