Key 103 Radio Partner for 2017 ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon

Xtra Mile Events, organisers of the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon, have announced Key 103 as the Official Radio Partner for the event which takes place on Sunday 2nd April 2017.
Manchester’s number one radio station playing all the biggest hits, all day long, will be supporting the city’s much loved ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon as it celebrates its 41st anniversary race this spring. The city is already gearing up to welcome 15,000 runners, many of whom come for the huge support and fantastic welcome they are treated to in Manchester.
The ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon is a firm favourite in the UK running calendar and is well known for being the UK’s flattest, fastest and friendliest marathon. It is a perfect match for Key 103, which as the number one radio station for Manchester is at the forefront of events across the city.
With just under six weeks to go until race day, places are selling fast and anyone wishing to be on the start line of this iconic event in Manchester should secure their place soon.
Beginners and anyone wanting to take part and experience the inspirational race day atmosphere without covering the full marathon distance can do so by getting some friends together and entering one of the team relays. The 2-Leg Relay gives runners the chance to experience the big marathon atmosphere as a team of two running a half marathon each, and the 4-Leg Relay Team Challenge sees teams of four runners cover the distance between them.
In keeping with the race’s commitment to provide a fantastic platform for charity fundraising, a total of 15,000 public and charity places are available for the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon. Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and Save the Children are the Official National Charity Partners for 2017, whilst the Christie charity and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity are the race’s Official Local Charity Partners.

The ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon will be celebrating its 41st anniversary this spring. Its flat and fast course makes it an ideal race for first time marathon runners and charity runners, as well as for elite athletes seeking a PB or qualifying time. The race is known for its superb crowd support and first-class entertainment.
Public entry fees for ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon are £60 for the full marathon, £110 for the 2-Leg Relay and £180 for the 4-Leg Relay.
