Last chance to enter award-winning Ealing Half

The organisers of the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon have issued a last call to enter the 2015 race, with the last couple of hundred places being snapped up quickly.

The 4th Ealing Half Marathon, which was voted “Best Half Marathon” by runners at The 2015 Running Awards in London for the 2nd year in a row, takes place on Sunday 27th September 2015. The race is well known for its huge community support and great atmosphere with runners travelling from all over the UK and abroad to experience the #EalingFeeling .

Councillor Julian Bell, Leader of Ealing Council, said: “The Ealing Half Marathon is a great community event for the borough. I’m pleased that we are able to support it for a fourth year, working with race organisers to minimise disruptions to residents and provide a challenging course for participants. It’s a fantastic opportunity for residents to be active in their local area while raising money and awareness for chosen charities. If you’re not one of the thousands taking part, I encourage you to come forward and take on opportunities to help out on race day.”

Event Co-Ordinator Sandra Courtney added: “The Ealing Half Marathon is fast approaching its sell out and the last few places are being snapped up quickly. The race is a firm fixture in the autumn running calendar and brings runners of all levels to our borough, with thousands of pounds raised for many different charities.

“We would like to encourage local businesses and residents to actively support the event and cheer on the runners, giving participants from near and far a warm welcome and a fantastic race experience so that we can defend our title as UK’s Best Half Marathon at The Running Awards next year!”
