Race Director Simon Hill commented: “The Leeds Triathlon has been another successful event for Xtra Mile Events, with athletes and spectators turning out in their hundreds and praising the smooth organisation, beautiful course and fantastic venue. Swimming in the same lake as the pros will at the ITU World Triathlon event next year also added some extra excitement.
“I would like to congratulate all our winners and everyone who took part in the Leeds Triathlon. A big thank you also goes to our sponsors and to all the volunteers and marshals, including 3rd Garforth Guides, Yorkshire Sports Foundation, Leeds Beckett Athletics Team and Legion of Frontiersmen, plus the BTF officials and Manchester Medical Services.”
Sponsors of the Leeds Triathlon include Race Force, Clif Bar, Jabra, Zone 3 and Pro Spin.
The next event on the Xtra Mile Events calendar is the South Manchester Triathlon this Sunday 20th September.
