    at Leeds Xpress Triathlon 2015

    The popular Leeds Xpress Triathlon took place on Sunday 26th July, attracting a large number of first time triathletes in addition to the more experienced. Many participants were raising money for CLIC Sargent, the Official Charity Partner for the race.

    Based at the Grammar School at Leeds, the Leeds Xpress Triathlon consisted of a 400m swim in the 6 lane heated indoor pool, a challenging 22.6 km out and back cycle along the rolling, picturesque A61 and a 5.4 km off road run.

    David Stevens_Leeds Xpress 2015The men’s title was a close battle between the top three. David Stevens clocked the fastest cycle which

    allowed him to secure the win in a time of 01:08:35, eleven seconds ahead of runner up Chris Dixon. Tom Pratt was only a further five seconds behind and claimed third place in a time of 01:08:51.

    The women’s title was claimed by Annaliese Nevins in a time of 01:18:22, ahead of Jane Milnes who finished in 01:19:05. Helen Close was the fastest in the water but lost time in transition and on the bike and came third in 01:20:43.
