Mars Chocolate UK supports Windsor Running Festival



Organisers of the Windsor Running Festival have confirmed that they have secured the support from Mars Chocolate UK’s ‘Mars in the Community’ programme which has been supporting the Windsor Half Marathon for over 20 years, highlighting its long term commitment to the event.

Other happenings on the Sunday include the Sprite Sprint run where five to nine year-olds run 40m, and the 2.5 mile Glynn Shefford Memorial Run which is aimed at runners aged ten and above.

Investing in the local communities has been a key part of Mars’s long heritage in Slough and commitment to putting its Principles into action. The Windsor Running Festival is a perfect example of encouraging and nurturing active, healthy lifestyles and promoting physical activity whilst delivering a positive and lasting benefit to the community.

The Windsor Half Marathon is one of the most iconic and longest established races in the UK, boasting one of the most picturesque courses in the world with the 13.1 miles run on traffic free roads around Windsor Great Park. The Running4Women Windsor 10K is aimed at women of all levels, ages and backgrounds including novices, charity runners and club runners. Both events start and finish on The Long Walk and offer fantastic views of Windsor Castle.
