Mike Bushell hosting running awards ceremony in April
Sports presenter Mike Bushell has been announced as the celebrity co-host of The Running Awards in association with everydayhero featuring the Runner’s World Personal Best Awards, which takes place at indigo at The O2 in London on Friday 24 April.
Mike Bushell was presenting the inaugural Running Awards in 2014, and the organisers have confirmed that he will be back to co-host the 2015 bigger and bolder awards ceremony at the new prestigious venue.
As the presenter of the main sports bulletins of the day Mike has profiled nearly 400 different sports and activities, always trying to inspire others to exercise with the aim to show that there is a sport out there for everyone. Mike has always been a keen sportsman with an ongoing passion for running, and he excelled in cross country running. In the 1980’s as a teenager, he also ran 175 miles in 6 days to raise money for charity.
Co-Founder of The Running Awards Paul Corrick says: “We are excited to announce Mike Bushell as the co-host of the awards evening. With his background and passion for running Mike is the perfect host for our definitive gala night.
“Mike has vast experience of covering big sporting events, having reported and presented on the Olympics, Paralympics, the Winter Games, Football World Cups, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games, and we are proud that he will be co-hosting The Running Awards in association with everydayhero featuring the Runner’s World Personal Best Awards.”
The very best in the running industry will be recognised on 24 April, and the nation’s runners are being encouraged to choose who they think should be crowned the industry’s best in two separate awards, the 2015 Running Awards in association with everydayhero and the Runner’s World Personal Best Awards.
