The organisers of The National Running Conference in partnership with Running Imp have announced Runner’s World as an Official Media Partner for the event on Friday 18th January 2019 at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole, NEC.
Runner’s World joins an impressive list of partners and sponsors already confirmed for the industry-leading B2B running conference, including Sports Insight, 2pure and Harrison Creative.
As the UK’s largest running magazine, Runner’s World is an important addition to this one-day event that will see top leaders and business influencers in the running world come together to network, share ideas and impart knowledge to keep driving the UK’s rapidly growing running industry forwards.
Runner’s World will be focusing on this last point by hosting a panel session entitled ‘The Future of Running’, which will look at consumer mindset, global trends, technology, running in 25 years’ time and predictions for the future world of running. The session takes place from 11:45-12:15 on what is set to be a captivating agenda for the day.
On board as Official B2B Media Partner for the conference is Sports Insight, the market-leading magazine dedicated to the B2B sports trade, covering running, outdoor, nutrition, cycling, tech, lifestyle, the SOC Handbook and more.
Distribution business 2pure joins The National Running Conference as a sponsor. With a core purpose to add value to each of their brands in the active lifestyle market, 2pure represents leading brands including Topo Athletic.
Of particular excitement is the confirmation that Founder and CEO of Topo Athletic Tony Post will be travelling from the US to deliver a special breakfast briefing at The National Running Conference. With over 40 years of running and 30+ years of shoemaking experience, Tony’s impressive career includes 15 years at Rockport and 11 years as CEO at Vibram. Bringing together all he had learnt, Tony went on to launch Topo Athletic in 2013 with a mission to develop footwear that would help to amplify the body’s natural and intuitive abilities. Tony’s experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the conference and his breakfast briefing will really set the scene for an engaging day of discussion.
Tony joins a first-class line-up of speakers already confirmed for The National Running Conference. Also speaking on the day are Nick Pearson, CEO of parkrun Global Ltd, Neil Venables, General Manager of Intersport UK & Ireland, Alistair Cameron, CEO EMEA of ASICS, Kate Dale, Strategic Lead for Campaigns at Sport England, Gareth Mills, Country Manager UK at Strava, and James Robinson, Chief Commercial Officer of Limelight Sports.
