Osterley Park Winter 10K Entries Open

Osterley Park 10K

Organisers of the Osterley Park Winter 10K have announced that entries are now open for the 2016 race which takes place on Saturday 10th December.

Osterley Park 10KThe sister race to the highly successful Osterley Park Summer 10K, the Osterley Park Winter 10K takes place in the grounds of the beautiful National Trust Osterley Park and House. One of the largest open spaces in West London, it provides a magnificent setting for the winter race, the route taking in much of the stunning scenery and including a loop of the private gardens.

Participants will run down the tree-lined drive and past the grazing Charolais cattle before running through the surrounding private gardens, park and farmland of one of the last surviving country estates in London. It promises to be a stunning race and great motivation to get fit in the run up to Christmas.

Runners wishing to enter can sign up here.

The official recommended charity for the Osterley Park Winter 10K is Alice’s Youth Music Memorial Fund.

Once described by Horace Walpole as ‘the palace of palaces’, Osterley was created in the late 18th century by architect and designer Robert Adam for the Child family to entertain and impress their friends and clients. The organisers say that this is “a short hop from central London by tube, but a world apart” and that “the course will take on the challenges of the weather, creating a challenging yet interesting mix of trail, road and park.”

The course is officially measured by UKA and counts towards your RunBritain and Power of 10 records.
