The organisers of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO 2020 have confirmed that top British pacer Paul Addicott will be returning to lead the pacer team at the event on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March 2020.
The pacers will be helping runners in both the AIMS-accredited OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO and Limassol Half Marathon to achieve their race targets.
The times covered by the pacers will be 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30 in the half marathon and 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45 and 5:00 in the marathon.
This will be the third consecutive year that Paul heads up the pacer team and he brings a wealth of experience to OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO. Paul has paced four World Marathon Majors in 2019, with the TCS New York City Marathon on 3rd November his 82nd event as an official pacer and his 10th sub 4 marathon paced in 2019. He has helped hundreds of runners to achieve their goals and cross the finish line with a smile, and his many achievements are documented on his blog pickupthepacepaul.com.
Over the marathon distance Paul loves to pace the sub 4-hour group and he will once more be pacing the sub 4 #funbus at OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO on Sunday 22nd March.
Paul’s pacing team will feature many familiar faces from previous years at OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO, which will be huge bonus for returning runners wanting to run with the same pacer. His marathon pacing team includes Danny O’Reilly (3:30), Beppe Bossi (3:45), Jason Walker (4:15), himself at 4:00, Matt Pullen (4:45) and mother and daughter pacers Camilla Langlands (4:30) and Jacqui Millett (5:00).
The Limassol Half Marathon pacing team will welcome Mark Sprigings (1:30), Tim Bruton (1:45), Simon Burgess (2:00), Phil Jefferies (2:15) and Emma Morris (2:30).
Each of the pacers bring experience and race knowledge, and runners can look forward to a fun, social atmosphere within their pacing group to keep them motivated throughout. There is also great opportunity for a PB, with OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO boasting a flat and fast course along Limassol’s coastline and beautiful views out across the sparkling Mediterranean.
