Poly is Foundation Partner for Schools Half Marathon
It has been confirmed that Plantronics, Inc. (“Poly” – formerly Plantronics and Polycom) (NYSE: PLT) will be a Foundation Partner for Schools Half Marathon.
Schools Half Marathon is part of Schools Running Movement by UK Run Events, a collaborative revolution for movement and change #MoveForLife.
The company partners with Schools Half Marathon to encourage school pupils, families and siblings across the UK to develop healthy habits to exercise regularly. Over the upcoming school year 2019/20, Schools Half Marathon will see thousands of school pupils across the UK achieve their very own cumulative half marathon. The movement is playing an important part in encouraging youngsters of all abilities to get outside and active with their friends, reduce screen time and build confidence through sport.

Poly is one of 12 Foundation Partners for Schools Half Marathon. Together, the Foundation Partners will form an Advisory Committee (AC) which will work as ONE to continue to drive Schools Half Marathon and the Movement forwards with founders Rebecca Richardson and Joe Williams.
Other Foundation Partners announced so far include specialist running retailer Up & Running, sports and fitness technology leaders Polar, leading ethical water brand One, and official charity partner Save the Children.
Schools Half Marathon is a cumulative, non-competitive and inclusive movement that sees pupils run 12 miles at school over the course of a term or half term, before completing the final 1.1 miles at an organised event in front of family and friends. On race day the young runners are treated to a full race experience including race bibs, a Schools Half Marathon technical t-shirt, a marshalled 1.1-mile route, music, commentator and a finish line gantry. As they cross the finish line, they receive a medal and a carton of water whilst celebrating their fantastic achievement with teachers, friends and family.
