The third edition of the award-winning National Running Show takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2020.
The 2020 show was announced at the close of a highly successful 2019 event and will once again gather thousands of runners, sports brands, retailers, nutrition experts, race organisers, communities and expert speakers together under one roof for a weekend-long celebration of running.
First-Class Speaker Programme
The National Running Show 2020 will welcome yet another incredible line-up of running heroes including British track star Sally Gunnell, Europe’s greatest ever 100m sprinter Linford Christie, ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes and 3-time Olympic medalist Kriss Akabusi.
British long distance runner Jo Pavey, now targeting a record 6th Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, at age 46, will also be returning as a speaker for the third consecutive year. Making her first appearance at the show will be Susannah Gill, the female World Record Holder for running 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents.
The stars will be headlining an exciting speaker programme over the two days of the show and the auditorium is expected to be packed as Olympic gold medallists, globe trotting adventurers and endurance athletes share their anecdotes and top running tips.
Popular endurance runner Susie Chan and Welsh Olympic silver medallist and former European and Commonwealth 400m champion Iwan Thomas will be co-hosting the event.
Brands, Exhibitors & Feature Areas
The organisers will certainly be building on the success of the 2019 show to deliver the most exciting and best event yet. In addition to securing a first-class speaker line-up, The National Running Show 2020 will welcome the top brands in running who will be showcasing their latest products and getting involved in many of the feature areas. It is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to the show to try out the latest gear on the market and go home with some fabulous new kit ahead of race season.
Specialist running retailer Up & Running returns as Official Retail Partner for 2020 and will be showcasing high-profile brands including Saucony, Polar, Camelbak and On.
The interactive feature areas are without doubt a huge draw for the show, enabling visitors to chat to the experts, get advice and try out products for themselves. From gait analysis through to trainer fitting, free nutrition and injury advice, run clinics and demo classes, runners can look forward to an extensive range of activities and workshops to help take their running to the next level.
There will also be an Ask the Experts zone where runners can have a 1-to-1 coaching session with some of the top names in running and find out the answers to the questions they have always wanted to ask.

This innovative show has enjoyed huge success and received wide acclaim since it opened its doors in 2018, having won the award for Best Consumer Show Launch at the 2018 AEO Excellence Awards.
