The third edition of the award-winning National Running Show takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2020.
The 2020 show follows a highly successful 2019 event and will once again gather thousands of runners, sports brands, retailers, nutrition experts, race organisers, communities and expert speakers together under one roof for a weekend-long celebration of running.
First-Class Speaker Programme
The National Running Show Birmingham 2020 will welcome yet another incredible line-up of running heroes including British track star Sally Gunnell, Europe’s greatest ever 100m sprinter Linford Christie, ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes, 3-time Olympic medalist Kriss Akabusi and former track and field athlete Steve Cram. British long distance runner Jo Pavey, now targeting a record 6th Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, will be returning as a speaker for the third consecutive year.
Making her first appearance at the show will be Susannah Gill, the female World Record Holder for running 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. Welsh ultra running brothers Rhys and Scott Jenkins will also be talking about their multiple endurance races and why ‘Running is not a solo sport’.
Also confirmed as speakers are legendary ultra runner Lazarus Lake, endurance runner Mimi Anderson, adventure runner Nikki Love, Run Talk Run community founder Jessica Robson, adventurer Anna McNuff, ultra marathon world record holder Camille Heron and long-distance record holder Nicky Spinks.
The stars will be headlining an exciting speaker programme over the two days of the show and the auditorium is expected to be packed as Olympic gold medallists, globe trotting adventurers and endurance athletes share their anecdotes and top running tips.
Popular endurance runner Susie Chan and Welsh Olympic silver medallist and former European and Commonwealth 400m champion Iwan Thomas will be co-hosting the event.

The interactive feature areas are without doubt a huge draw for the show, enabling visitors to chat to the experts, get advice and try out products for themselves. From gait analysis through to trainer fitting, free nutrition and injury advice, run clinics and demo classes, runners can look forward to an extensive range of activities and workshops to help take their running to the next level.

UK’s Biggest Independent Running Exhibition
The National Running Show is the UK’s biggest independent running exhibition, with all of the kit, tech, nutrition, advice and inspiration that runners need to achieve their goals. The show has been deliberately timed to take place pre-race season, so that runners can safely plan their race calendar and nutrition whilst choosing their kit and technology brand preferences. From those starting out on their first 5K through to experienced ultra marathoners, it is the event for runners of all ages, abilities and interests.
This innovative show has enjoyed huge success and received wide acclaim since it opened its doors in 2018. At The EN Indy Awards in October 2019, The National Running Show won the award for Best Consumer Show and CEO of Raccoon Events Mike Seaman took home the award for Best Show Director. This was the second consecutive year for Mike winning this award, with The EN Indy Awards 2018 also awarding the show the prize for Best Launch (Trade or Consumer). Previously, The National Running Show had won the award for Best Consumer Show Launch at the 2018 AEO Excellence Awards.
The National Running Show has announced a Sustainability Policy in order to offset the environmental impact of the event at every stage in the production line. This includes a Travel Carbon Calculator so that exhibitors and visitors can offset the carbon footprint of their travel to the show.

The National Running Show London takes place at the Business Design Centre in Islington on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2020. Tickets are currently free at nationalrunningshowlondon.reg.buzz and are valid for both days.
