#MovementRuns evening with Susie Chan & special guests

An exciting new social run event called #MovementRuns will take place in London on Thursday 24th May 2018, hosted by popular endurance runner Susie Chan and supported by Strava, ASICS, Intersport and Breathe Unity.
#TheMovementRuns is the highly anticipated follow-up to Women Run Strong that Susie hosted in April 2017 and will follow a similar format, incorporating both a short run and an inspiring panel chat with some of the UK’s favourite runners.
This year Susie will be joined by her running buddy and great friend Sophie Raworth, Founder of Run Mummy Run Leanne Davies and Ben Smith from The 401 Challenge. Together they will host a fantastic evening of fun, socialising and a lively panel discussion about life and running. Rebecca Richardson, MD of Breathe Unity PR, will be panel host for the evening and welcoming questions with Susie from the audience for the special panel of speakers.
The event will take place at the ASICS flagship store on Oxford Street, London, and it is from here that all attendees are invited to join Susie, Sophie, Leanne and Ben for a relaxed 5K run in the local area. The group run was a huge hit at the original event last year, proving a great opportunity for guests to meet like-minded runners and the perfect complement to a session of running chat and inspiration.
#MovementRuns aims to invigorate and empower runners wherever they are on their running journey. The evening will be split into two 1.5-hour sessions welcoming 25 runners, male and female. Free to attend, and with tickets to Women Run Strong selling out within an hour last year, it is expected that tickets will be snapped up quickly when booking opens on Eventbrite today.
Full details for registration are below, and runners are encouraged to sign up quickly to what promises to be one of the most unique and uplifting events of the spring.

Susie Chan is an endurance runner who runs from 1 to 100 miles at some of the world’s toughest ultra-marathons and endurance races. In 2017, Susie won the Adventure category of the Coastal Challenge Costa Rica and became a Six Star Finisher at the World Marathon Majors. In 2018 Susie completed her fourth Marathon des Sables. Follow Susie on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and read all about her adventures on her blog: susie-chan.com.
BBC presenter Sophie Raworth has seen her running go from strength to strength. She started by running the Great North Run, then Virgin Money London Marathon, and has gone on to finish all the World Marathon Majors. She’s now an ultra runner, having recently finishing the Marathon des Sables. Setting 5K to marathon PBs in the last 12 months, we are looking forward to what she challenges herself to next.
Leanne Davies is Founder of Run Mummy Run, the award-winning online running community for women. Leanne set up this network for like-minded women five years ago and it has gone on to welcome over 58,000 members. She has also built a successful online merchandise store and hosts events in the UK and abroad for her community of women.
Ben Smith of The 401 Challenge ran 401 marathons in 401 days to raise over £330,000 for two anti-bullying charities. Having been bullied himself at school, Ben understands all too well the impact of bullying and the mental health issues it can cause. The project raised much-needed awareness of these issues and inspired thousands of people to change their life in a positive way.
The event is proud to have Ben Lumley as official photographer for the evening.
