The Vertical World Circuit is pleased to announce a new venue in London, completing the nine-race calendar of premier skyscraper races sanctioned by the International Skyrunning Federation.
The Broadgate Tower Run Up will host the London stage of the tour on November 24 and is valid for an extra 25% bonus points on the VWC final ranking where the world’s top athletes compete for the VWC Champion title and cash prizes.
Returning for its third edition, the Broadgate Tower Run Up will welcome the strong international competition to race up the building’s 35 floors and 877 steps.
“Total Motion are honoured to be hosting the London leg of the prestigious Vertical World Circuit at The Broadgate Tower in November 2018. We look forward to welcoming the world’s top stair climbers to the UK where they will be competing for valuable points in the last 2018 VWC event before the grand final in Hong Kong,” commented Total Motion CEO, Matt Hudson.
The Broadgate Tower Run Up is the first event in The UK which is not tied to one charity, but offers competitors the opportunity to race for a charity of their choice or compete as a personal challenge alongside the world’s best runners.
The 2018 Vertical World Circuit will launch in just under two weeks in Seoul, South Korea on May 13 with the Lotte World Tower International Sky Run, the highest race on the circuit.
